I am so excited to share how the project is coming along.

Of the 38 interviews completed so far, there have been:

children, mothers, fathers, friends, teachers, photographers, strangers on the street, baristas, lawyers, doctors, poets, artists, police officers, writers, cashiers, and so many more.

Of the 20 booked artists for the show, we have:

illustrators, painters, sculptors, filmmakers, performance artists, installation artists, metalworkers, textile artists, quilters, cross-stitchers, photographers, comic book designers, dancers, musicians, movers, shakers, and more.

As artists roll in, I will be posting their info on the blog and on facebook, so check ’em out!

There have been three awesome workshops so far, and many more to come!  Collaborations with Sector 67, the Bubbler, Barriques, Cafe Zoma, and of course, the host of the GRAND exhibition in June – Absolutely Art.

Thanks so everyone that has been a part of this so far – I am SO happy to be working with you!

Valentine’s Day Card Making Workshop

It was exciting to work with artist Laurie Rossbach and the Madison Children’s Museum to host a family Valentine’s Day card making workshop.

The creativity was inspiring!  I am so thankful to Laurie, the Madison Children’s Museum, and all those that participated!

Be on the lookout for pop-up Valentine Card making events throughout this next week as we stop at cafes all over town so more people can make their own!

we shared stories, poems, pick up lines, and first dates.

It was a joy to meet new people, to create an experience together through community art and exploration.  I feel like it contributed to the greater discourse that I am developing.
