Have you ever written a letter to someone and not given it to them?
A letter for a broken heart, searching for answers
A letter to a person passed
A letter of unrequited love
A letter of friendship
Letters to Mothers, Fathers, Friends
Letters to lovers, boyfriends, girlfriends, husbands, wives
Letters to one night stands that hurt you more than you let on
I have written my share of letters. Sometimes writing the letter is the best way to express how you feel after being hurt, or feeling joy, or being thankful. Simply writing your feelings can help.
Inspired by PostSecret, I am calling for you to send your letters or postcards to this project.
No names or dates, but it is a way to share your thoughts with the world.
Similar to PostSecret, they will all be anonymous, but as part of the project, some will be posted here on the blog and some will be in the community art exhibit.
Starting Wednesday, November 27, dropboxes will be placed at the following locations.
Please feel free to drop your letter or card off, and let your feelings of that go.
East Side: Cafe Zoma
Central: Michelangelo’s: 114 State St, Madison, WI 53703
Central: Macha Tea House: 1934 Monroe Street Madison, WI 53711
West Side: Bloom: 1834 Parmenter Street Middleton, WI 53562
There will also be a community art/writing workshop to create your own postcard.
Saturday, December 14, from 10am-2pm. Please drop by and create a card that says what it needs to say.
Cafe Zoma, on the east side of Madison
2326 Atwood Ave, Madison, 53704
Please drop in, write one or ten! You can keep them or drop them in the drop box.
Engage with love, engage with this community art project.
I hope to see you there.
